Know what your score means.
Speed
Submitted KPH = submitted characters ÷ elapsed seconds × 3,600. Backspace, Tab, Enter and unfinished fields are excluded. WPM uses a five-character convention: submitted KPH ÷ 300, rounded. Correct KPH uses target characters minus edit distance, clamped at zero per field. These are our practice conventions, not universal employer standards.
Process and final accuracy
Process accuracy counts each inserted character against its target position at the time of input. A correction does not erase the original mistake. Omitting a character may cause following characters to mismatch until corrected.
Field accuracy is the percentage of submitted fields that match exactly. Complete-record accuracy counts records in which all submitted fields match. Empty submitted fields are errors. At expiry or early finish, unfinished inputs are discarded and the report states how many contained input.
Timing
The clock starts with your first character. Tests last 1, 3 or 5 minutes, including time away from the tab. Untimed drills contain eight entries. Paste and automatic multi-character input are blocked.
Practice modes and reviews
Accuracy-first mode requires every field to match before submission; corrected mistakes still count in process accuracy. Repeat same practice reuses the source text. Mistake review uses the fields you submitted incorrectly and may contain fewer than eight entries. Reviews do not count as completed plan lessons.
Session pace chart
The chart samples cumulative submitted characters every five seconds, including pauses and field transitions. Text pages show WPM; numeric and record pages show KPH. It needs at least two samples. It is a session trace, not an instantaneous or sustained-work speed estimate.
Recommendations and observations
A category requires ten attempts before a rule-based focused recommendation. Individual keys also need ten observations. Transition timing includes reading and previous-key movement; it cannot identify fingers, posture or a medical problem. There is no AI diagnosis.
Comparable results
History comparisons use completed standard sessions with matching exercise, content, duration and accuracy mode. Early finishes, same-text repeats and mistake reviews are excluded. Compare using the same physical keyboard. Numeric row, keypad, text and multi-field entry are different skills. The website cannot certify physical keypad use or an employer pass mark. Browser-generated scores are personal practice data, not tamper-proof assessment results.
